Mother’s plea and impact of Grand Mufti Dialogue, Nimisha Priya of Kerala gets relief from hanging in Yemen

The girl of India, who was stuck in Yemen, was almost fixed, to avoid the death, from the government to the family, the day and night had united, for which the mother had raised more than 8 crore rupees, now the death of that girl has been postponed for a few days.

In fact, India’s Grand Mufti and Sunni leader Kanthapuram AP Abubakar Muslim reached Yemen a few hours before this sentence. He also postponed Nimisha’s death by talking to the victim’s family through Yemen’s Sufi scholar Sheikh Habib Umar bin Hafiz.

The question is why this situation came. After all, what did Nimisha do that she was sentenced to death in Yemen. After all, what efforts were made by Nimisha’s family and the government of India to save her, which failed in front of the Islamic law Sharia, after which Grand Mufti had to intervene?

What is the story of Nimisha Priya?

Palakkad is a district in Kerala. Nimisha is a resident of there. In 2011, she went to work with her husband Tony Thomas and child in Sana city of Yemen. The job was not so good that the three could live. So due to financial constraints in 2014, Nimisha’s husband Tony Thomas and son returned to India. However, Nimisha remained there.

He planned to open a clinic of himself in Yemen itself. And to open this clinic, Nimisha sought the help of Talal Abdo Mahdi, a citizen of Yemen and friend of her husband Tony Thomas. Talal did not help. Then Nimisha’s friend Abdul Hanan came forward and with her help Nimisha opened her clinic in the next year i.e. 2015 after her husband returned to India.

Fake documents and Nimisha became Talal’s wife

When the clinic started earning from the clinic, Talal Abdo Mahdi started harassing Nimisha for money. According to reports, when Nimisha refused to pay the money, Talal declared Nimisha as his wife through fake documents. Troubled Nimisha complained to the Yemen police. On the complaint of Nimisha, the police also arrested Talal. When Talal was released from jail, he fraudulently kept Nimisha’s passport with him and asked for money from Nimisha again. Since Nimisha was a nurse, she put an injection of intoxication to control Talal, so that when she is unconscious, Nimisha could withdraw her passport from her. Nimisha’s friend Abdul Hanan was also present during the injection.

Overdose and Talal died of drug injection

Talal died due to over dose of that injection. After Talal’s death, Nimisha and Abdul Hanan made a plan to hide the dead body. For this, both of them cut the body of Talal and disposed of them in the water tank. Despite this, Nimisha and Hanan could not escape. The police found out that both of them have murdered Talal. In August 2017, the police arrested both. The lower court sentenced both of them to life imprisonment. But when the matter went to the High Court, Nimisha’s life sentence was extended to death, while Abdul Hanan’s life sentence continued.

Mother vows to save daughter

In such a situation, Nimisha’s mother decided that now she will go to Yemen herself. After reaching there, Talal Abdu will meet the family members of Mahdi and try to save her daughter. Now since the law of Sharia goes on in Yemen. There is a provision for punishment in Sharia. The crime that the criminal has committed in this also gets the same punishment. For example, if someone bursts someone’s eye, then the one who has broken his eye, his eye is also broken as a punishment. But in this kiss, one option of punishment is also to give money. In Arabic, it is called Diya or Diyah. It is called blood money in English.

Prepared for blood money first then refused

The family members of the slain Talal Abdu Mahdi also agreed to leave Nimisha with blood money. In the year 2022, the family members of Talal had demanded 50 million Yemeni Rial i.e. Rs 1 crore 52 lakh 32 thousand 757. And the police of Yemen had also met Nimisha in jail and told this. After this, Nimisha’s mother first reached the Kerala High Court and then the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court also summoned the answer from the central government. And the reply given by the government to the court, along with Nimisha’s family, broke the hearts of 140 crore Indians.

Grand Mufti’s entry a few hours before hanging

On behalf of the Modi government, it has been said in the court that we have made every effort, but there is no government in Yemen to talk. There is the possession of the huts, who are terrorists, so there is no scope for talk. At the same time, Nimisha’s mother is also in Yemen, who offered a blood money of Rs 8 crore 59 lakh to Talal Abdo’s family. In this, the central government had assisted about Rs 34 lakh, but Talal’s family was not ready to take this amount. In such a situation, there were only a few hours of Nimisha’s death. But before that, Grand Mufti and Sunni leader Kanthapuram AP Abubakar Muslim reached Yemen. There he spoke to Yemen’s Sufi scholar Sheikh Habib Umar bin Hafiz. Then both of them talked to a judge of the Supreme Court of Yemen and the brother of the deceased Talal. The judge hanged hanged and now both people are trying to persuade the family for blood money so that Nimisha can be saved and it can be brought back to India. Now everything is in the hands of Talal’s family. Let’s see what they decide, whatever the decision will be, we will tell you. Keep watching ABP live, thank you.
