Today, on March 27, traffic diversion has been implemented on the route from Sitarambagh to Sultan Bazaar from 9 am to 9 pm. During this period, there is a possibility of heavy traffic pressure in many major areas of the city.
Hyderabad Police Advice
Hyderabad Police has advised citizens not to drive on the procession route throughout the day today. Heavy traffic jams may occur in Begum Bazaar, Afzalganj, MJ Market, Abids, Koti and Kachiguda areas. The entire route from Sitarambagh to Sultan Bazaar will be reserved for the procession and an appeal has been made to use alternative routes. The traffic restrictions have come into effect from 9 am and will be restored in a phased manner till 9 pm. Nearly 3,000 policemen have been deployed for security at this year’s procession in Hyderabad. Police will keep a close watch on the entire route. Additional forces have been deployed at sensitive places and the entire procession route is being monitored through CCTV cameras. Arrangements for aerial surveillance through drone cameras have also been made so that any untoward incident can be stopped immediately.
Special arrangement by Hyderabad administration
Hyderabad administration has clarified that all necessary arrangements have been completed for Shri Ram Navami Shobhayatra 2026. Medical teams, fire vehicles and emergency services are on standby along the entire route. Drinking water and first aid centers have also been established for the convenience of the devotees.
