Cyclonic storm Montha in the Bay of Bengal and deep pressure over the Arabian Sea have completely changed the weather of the country. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a large part of the country will remain under the influence of rain for the next 4 to 5 days. Due to the cyclone, warnings of heavy rain and strong winds have been issued in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, the weather has suddenly changed in many parts of North India. Its impact is being seen in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi-NCR.
It will rain in Delhi today
The weather of Delhi-NCR is going to be very cold today on Tuesday (October 28, 2025). Cold winds will blow during the day. There was no sunshine in Delhi even on Monday. According to the Meteorological Department, there have been major changes in the weather due to active Western Disturbance. Today on Tuesday also it will be cloudy and light rain will be seen in many parts of Delhi NCR.
Rain in many parts of UP
The weather of UP has also changed due to Montha. It is raining in many parts of UP right now. It remained cloudy almost the entire day on Monday, due to which the night weather has also changed. Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that the cyclonic storm Montha formed in the Bay of Bengal is changing the weather of the state rapidly.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places in Western and Eastern UP today, while the weather may remain clear in Western UP on October 29. During this period, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning at some places in Eastern UP. Similarly, on October 30, there are chances of rain and thundershowers at some places in Western UP and at many places in Eastern UP.
More than 2 inches of rain in Madhya Pradesh
The weather of Madhya Pradesh has also changed suddenly. Due to the depression arising from the Arabian Sea, rains are continuing in many areas. It rained in more than 10 districts on Monday. Sheopur recorded maximum rainfall of more than 2 inches within 9 hours, while Datia recorded around 1 inch of rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, similar weather will continue for the next three-four days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain with thunder and storm in many parts of the state from 28 to 30 October.
Big change will be seen in the weather of Bihar
A big change is going to be seen in the weather of Bihar. Montha, which became active in the Bay of Bengal, is now moving towards the state. Patna Meteorological Center has issued a warning saying that there may be heavy rains with strong winds in many areas this week. Along with rain from the sky, the minimum temperature will also drop.
