On Wednesday (July 23, 2025) on the third day of the monsoon session of Parliament, the opposition’s uproar over several issues including SIR continued. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan targeted the uproar of opposition parties. He accused the opposition of running away from the discussion in the House and said that the Indie alliance has converted democracy into a hullado, ruckus and hurdang system.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday (July 23, 2025), Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “The Indie alliance has converted democracy into a hullad, ruckus and hooding system. ‘Indy block’ has now become ‘Hullad block’. Democracy is turning into a ‘noise’. Outside the Parliament, they say that they should be discussed, but they are participating in the Sadan.
He said, “I folded hands and prayed to the opposition yesterday. Let the discussion be held. There were 11 questions related to farmers and poor, but the opposition ran away. The whole country and farmer siblings are looking at these double character of the opposition. I appeal to farmers and public to see this double criterion of Indi block.”

At the same time, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal said, “Opposition is not allowing the House to run. Outside the House, he is only alleging that Rahul Gandhi is not being allowed to speak in Parliament.” While Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora also targeted the opposition. He said, “Opposition should raise issues related to public in Parliament, not on the streets.”
Along with them, BJP MP Lahar Singh Siroya said in a conversation with IANS, “In this noise, we do not understand why Parliament is not running. It is good for the opposition to walk the Parliament.”
Lok Sabha Speaker warns opposition
Earlier, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had expressed displeasure over the opposition’s uproar in the House on Wednesday (July 23, 2025). He warned the opposition MPs saying, “You are behaving like a road in Parliament as well.” During this, the Lok Sabha Speaker also warned of action on showing placards in the House.
