Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Monday (March 23, 2026) praised the working style and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Modi ji is not a person, but an idea. He is a great example of the pinnacle of hard work. He said that I have worked with PM Modi as an organization worker, as the Chief Minister of the state and now as a Union Minister. For him the nation comes first.
What did Shivraj Singh Chauhan say about PM Modi?
Addressing the press conference, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, ‘Today I am in a big dilemma, the Prime Minister completed 8,931 days as the head of the government yesterday on Sunday (March 22, 2026) and how can I discuss such a long period of time in 20-25 minutes, because Modi ji is not a person but an idea. The Prime Minister is a great example of the pinnacle of hard work. How he has worked for the country is very important.
He said, ‘I remembered the day on which the Prime Minister’s mother passed away. I was in Tamil Nadu and we thought of going to Gujarat, but then I came to know that the Prime Minister was attending a pre-planned program after my mother’s funeral, so that his own pain does not overshadow the work of the country. Everyone was given instructions without waiting, no one will come.
He further said, ‘I have known Modi ji for the last 35 years. I have also worked with him as an organization worker. Later, I also worked with him as Chief Minister and now I am working as Prime Minister and Union Minister. For him, nation first is paramount.
Union Minister spoke about PM Modi’s works
Speaking about PM Modi’s work, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, ‘After the Gujarat earthquake devastated Bhuj and Kutch, the Prime Minister rebuilt there. His case study was done by many countries of the world. He did politics for developed Gujarat and developed India. Modi ji realized the dream of river linking. Made Gujarat a manufacturing hub.
He said, ‘When Modi was the Chief Minister in Gujarat and there was another government in Delhi. At that time investors were told not to go to Gujarat, but investors went there and it became a hub of tourism. The discussion about Gujarat model started reaching every heart of the country. In those dark days of 2011, 2012 and 2013, when the noise of corruption was heard all around, Modi ji emerged as a symbol of hope and faith in the darkness of despair. After 2014, coalition politics ended. A single party got majority and the Modi era began.
Did PM Modi do big things for the country?
He said, ‘Today our agriculture has filled the grain stores. Modi ji worked for social, political, empowerment of women and launched a strong attack on terrorism, be it surgical strike, air strike or Operation Sindoor. Naxalism is counting its last breaths. Article 370 was abolished and Ram temple was also built. One after the other, states are also implementing the Common Civil Code. Modi ji is not just a politician but a social reformer. He made cleanliness a movement, crores of trees were planted in the name of one tree mother. I have never seen a listener like him, he listens very attentively. Symbols of slavery were removed. The country is blessed to have a leader like Modi ji. Today there is BJP government in 14 states and NDA in 19 states.
