The Modi government at the Center made bumper earnings by selling scrap in just one month. During the large-scale cleanliness campaign run by the Central Government last month, Rs 800 crore was earned by selling junk. Which in itself is much more than the budget of Chandrayaan-3, which cost Rs 615 crore.
This campaign was started in 2021 and including last month’s earnings, about Rs 4100 crore has been earned so far, which is a big achievement in itself. Let us tell you that this campaign was run from October 2 to October 31. Under this, the government has vacated about 232 lakh square feet of office space, while 29 lakh files have been removed.

5 such campaigns have been run since 2021. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Mansukhbhai Mandaviya and K. Ram Mohan Naidu was entrusted with the task of settling it. The number of offices covered during this period is approximately 23.62 lakh. The government has vacated 928.84 lakh square feet of space under the cleanliness drive.
Under the cleanliness drive of the Modi government, 166.95 physical files were closed or deleted and Rs 4,097.24 crore was earned by selling the junk. Minister of State for PMO/DOPT Dr. Jitendra Singh told ABP News that this is in line with the cleanliness mission of the Modi government, we have converted waste into wealth.
‘With this much income, 6 Chandrayaans can be operated’
Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this is a future-oriented concept and we have worked on it successfully. Through this we have contributed to the production of the economy. He told that with this much earning, 6 Chandrayaan can be operated.
