Main exam disturbances? The High Court has canceled the result of TGPSC, will the Group-1 examination be again?

The Telangana High Court has canceled the general ranking list released on 10 March 2025, giving an important verdict regarding the Group-1 examinations of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The court has issued orders for re-evaluation of the main examination papers and directed that the results should be announced again only after the new investigation.

A division bench headed by Justice Namwarpu Rajeshwar Rao gave the verdict after a detailed hearing on 7 July 2025. The court has given TGPSC eight months to complete the revaluation process. If the revaluation is not possible, then orders have also been given to conduct renewed examinations.

Candidates demand evaluation of main examination

TGPSC released the results of Group-1 examinations on 10 March 2025. However, many candidates had demanded evaluation of the main examination. A petition was filed in the High Court alleging irregularities in the revaluation.

The petitioners claimed that there was a lack of transparency in the evaluation process and errors in the results. After hearing the arguments and evidence presented by the candidates, the court decided to cancel the ranking list. This decision will affect thousands of candidates in Group-1 examinations, who have been waiting for the results for a long time.

TGPSC should start evaluation process afresh

TGPSC will now have to start a fresh evaluation process, so that transparency and fair results can be ensured. If the revaluation is not possible, then the new exams will be a big challenge.

This decision is an important step for the candidates interested in government jobs, as it is expected to promote transparency in the examination system. TGPSC has not yet issued any official statement on this decision.
