Maharashtra Shiv Sena UBT Sanjay Raut Says We Speak Hindi Our Stand is Stritness for Hindi in Primary Schools Will Not Be Tolemed

After the states of South India, there is a ruckus in Maharashtra about Hindi language. On this issue, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut held a press conference in Mumbai on Sunday (July 6, 2025) and said that the southern states have been fighting for years on this issue. His stance against imposing Hindi means that he will not speak Hindi nor will anyone let anyone speak Hindi.

Sanjay Raut said that our stance in Maharashtra is not like the southern states. We speak Hindi. We say that strictness for Hindi will not be tolerated in primary schools. Our fight is limited to here. Our dispute with the central government is only about this. He further said that MK Stalin has congratulated us on our victory and said that he will learn from it, we wish him all the best.

‘We have Hindi films, Hindi theater and Hindi music’

He further said that we have not stopped anyone from speaking in Hindi because we have Hindi films, Hindi theater and Hindi music here. Our fight is only against imposing Hindi in primary education. Regarding Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, he said that yes, both brothers have come together for politics and this politics is for Maratha interest in Maharashtra.

Target on BJP’s alliance

Questioning about the BJP’s alliance, Raut said that for what he (Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis) have come together. Have they come together to do social work, have they come to share their property. He further enumerated the names of the leaders and said that why have Pupphal Patel, Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar all come together?
