A major accident occurred in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh when a military vehicle going from Durbook towards Chongatash was hit by a landslide. Two army officers were killed in this tragic incident, while three other soldiers were seriously injured. The injured have been immediately airlifted and admitted to Leh’s military hospital, where their treatment is going on.
The Indian Army’s Fire and Fury Corps wrote on X- GOC, Fire and Fury Corps and all rank Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh, who performed the supreme sacrifice on 30 July 2025 while performing duty in Ladakh and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.

The reason for accidents is becoming bad weather
The heavy rains and snowfall in Ladakh for the last few days have made the situation extremely difficult. Its effect is also seen on the roads, where the number of accidents has increased. Recently, two people were injured in a road accident, who was rescued by the Indian Army’s Fire and Fury Corps in time and admitted to a hospital in Karu for treatment.
Agniveer’s highest sacrifice while on duty
On July 20, while doing duty in Ladakh, Agniveer Hariom Nagar made his supreme sacrifice. The next day, on 21 July, the Army’s Fire and Fury Corps confirmed his martyrdom and paid tribute to the entire military force. All the officials, including Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, expressed condolences that they are standing with a heartbroken family in this difficult time.
