Along with this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah appealed to the citizens to join the progressive and rational forces in the society. He told news agency PTI, ‘Associate yourself with the right people. Associate with people who stand for the society, not with those who oppose social change or are associated with Sanatani ideology.

CJI but mentioned the shoe throwing incident

The Chief Minister also mentioned a recent incident in which a person tried to throw a shoe at the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court BR Gavai. He called it a symbol of deeply rooted conservative thinking in the society.

He said, ‘The fact that a Sanatani tried to throw a shoe at the CJI shows that Sanatani and fundamentalist elements are still present in the society. This incident should be condemned not only by Dalits but by everyone. Only then can we say that society is moving forward on the path of change.

RSS always challenged Ambedkar’s thinking

Siddaramaiah alleged that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Sangh Parivar have always opposed BR Ambedkar’s thinking and are still challenging the values of his Constitution. He said, ‘They are spreading the lie that Congress defeated Ambedkar in the elections. But the truth is that Ambedkar has written in his own hands that Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Shripad Amrit Dange defeated me. It is necessary to bring such truths in front of the society so that the lies of the Sangh Parivar can be exposed.
