The death mystery of famous singer Zubin Garg is getting entangled day by day. He died on 19 September 2025 in Singapore. His body was evacuated from water near St. John’s Island in a state of unconsciousness. The 10 -member SIT of Assam Police is investigating the case.
The new twist in this case came when a partner of Zubin Garg’s band accused him of conspiring to his death. He said that there was a lot of effort to cover up the death of Zubin Garm, which failed.
‘Jubin Garg given poison’
According to the report of CNN News18, the main witness in this case, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has accused two men named Siddharth Sharma and Shyamakanu Mahant of poisoning Zubin Garg. He has said these things in front of the SIT investigating the matter. The SIT on Friday (October 3, 2025) questioned three members of the North East India Festival team, including Jyoti Goswami.
Organizer and Zubeen’s manager arrested
The SIT has already issued notices to about 12 people who came under suspicion. Among them, the name of Festival Organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma, manager of Zubeen, are at the forefront. Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma were arrested and produced in the Guwahati court earlier where both have been sent to 14 days police custody. Both have been booked for non-Irradan homicide, criminal conspiracy.
‘Zubin’s nose and mouth were poisoning’
According to the report, Shekhar Jyoti claimed that Siddharth Sharma was seen involved in suspicious activities in Singapore. He also alleged, “When the jubin was drowning, foam was coming out of his mouth and nose. Despite this, negligence was taken and he was not taken to the hospital immediately. It was ignored as an acid reflux.” He said that Zubin was very good swimmer, they cannot die due to natural drowning in water.
