Jagdeep Dhankhar Resigns Live: India’s Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from his post with immediate effect citing health reasons. In a letter addressed to President Draupadi Murmu, he said that he is resigning under Article 67 (a) of the Constitution due to the advice of doctors and preference to health. In his letter, Dhankar thanked the President for cooperation and cordial relations. Also thanked the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers for his guidance and support. Sibal further said, "There may have been differences in our political views, but our friendship has been very strong at the personal level. He has also attended our family programs. Whenever I wanted time to speak in Parliament, I used to meet their room and they never refused. Despite being an independent MP, he used to give me more time than expected. I wish him good health and longevity."
