Strong rise in stock market due to US-Iran ceasefire
Meanwhile, after the announcement of two-week ceasefire between America and Iran, there was a strong rise in Sensex and Nifty in early trading on Wednesday amid the rise in global markets and huge fall in crude oil prices. BSE Sensex rose 2,775.73 points or 3.71 per cent to 77,392.31 in early trade while NSE Nifty rose 815.20 points or 3.52 per cent to 23,938.85. Among the 30 companies included in the Sensex, the share of InterGlobe Aviation registered the highest rise of about 10 percent. Apart from this, shares of Larsen & Toubro, Bajaj Finance, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finserv and Mahindra & Mahindra were also among the biggest gainers. Only Tech Mahindra shares registered a decline. In Asian markets, there was a lot of rise in Kospi of South Korea, Nikkei 225 of Japan, SSE Composite of China and Hang Seng of Hong Kong.
