Amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East, Iran’s army has claimed that it has shot down an American A-10 fighter plane. According to the report of Al Jazeera, this incident happened around the Strait of Hormuz, which is a very important sea route in the world. According to Iranian media and Tasnim News Agency, this plane was targeted in the southern part of this strategic waterway. However, this claim has not yet been officially confirmed by America. Neither the Pentagon nor the White House gave any immediate reaction.
Meanwhile, another incident has made the situation more serious. According to reports, an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter plane of the US Air Force crashed inside Iran. According to CNN report, a crew member of this plane has been safely evacuated by the US Army and is undergoing treatment. However, the search for the second member is still going on. It is being told that the F-15E is operated by two people. Based on pictures and videos released by Iranian media, CNN has confirmed that the debris is that of the F-15 aircraft.
American plane fell inside Iran
The report also said that this incident is the first time during the current war, when an American plane has fallen inside Iran. The debris found in some photographs has indicated that this aircraft may belong to the 494th Fighter Squadron deployed at RAF Lakenheath base in Britain. However, many things are still not clear regarding these incidents. Iran’s claim of shooting down the A-10 aircraft has also not been independently verified. At the same time, no official statement has come from America regarding the circumstances of the crash of F-15E.
