Continuous and extremely challenging high altitude joint operations were conducted for 326 days in the Kishtwar region. The search for terrorists was carried out in inaccessible hilly areas amidst severe cold, rain and snowy weather, during which several encounters took place. Based on a strong and coordinated intelligence grid established by civil and military intelligence agencies, #WhiteKnightCorps, J&K Police and #CRPF personnel finally killed all seven notorious terrorists in Chhatru area of Kishtwar.
Extensive use of technology was made during the operation. FPV drones, satellite imagery, RPA/UAVs and advanced communication systems were continuously used, which helped in conducting the operation effectively. This operation was successfully completed with the elimination of Saifullah and his associates. The constant vigilance, determination, courage and bravery of our security forces and intelligence agencies have once again proved that no challenge can stand before the courage and commitment of the uniformed soldiers.
Activity of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir
According to the latest assessment of intelligence agencies, important information has come to light regarding the activity of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, about 30 Pakistani terrorists are estimated to be active in Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu region. These terrorists are mainly trying to conduct activities secretly in the border and hilly areas.
How many terrorists are active in Kashmir Valley?
About 40 to 50 terrorists are said to be active in the Kashmir Valley. Of these, only two are local Kashmiris, while the rest are said to be Foreign Terrorists (FTs), mainly Pakistani nationals. All the security agencies of the country are continuously taking action in these areas on the basis of search operations, surveillance and intelligence inputs, so that any possible terrorist conspiracy can be foiled in time.
