Shashi Tharoors Reply to Congress: Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has supported the Modi government and the army on ‘Operation Sindoor’ and said that the security of the country is more important than any political party. He clarified that he respects his party, but India is the first.
Tharoor said- national security first, politics later
Tharoor shared a video on social media, in which he told that a school student from Kochi asked him a question about national security. Tharoor said, “Although I publicly avoid speaking on this subject, but I felt that it is necessary to answer this question.”
Tharoor, citing the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, said, “If India will die, then who will survive?” He said that when it comes to the country, political differences should be forgotten and standing together. Shashi Tharoor also said that many people are criticizing him due to his government support stance. He said that he will remain adamant on this attitude because it is in the interest of the country.
The party angry with my statement, but I am right- Tharoor
Kerala MP Tharoor said, ‘Political parties are a means of improving the country. But if any decision is in the interest of the country, then it should be supported. In my view, India is the first. Tharoor admitted that some party leaders were angry with his statements. He said, ‘Many people are criticizing me because I supported the government and the army, but I think what I said is right for India.’
He said that when he says ‘India’, it means not only the Congress or any party, but also from all Indians. According to Tharoor, there may be hundreds of parties in Parliament, but everyone should unite on issues like national security.
