Horrific attack on Iran’s ‘oil hub’ Kharg Island, war erupts before Trump’s deadline, chaos in the Gulf

Iran Kharg Island Attack: Rapid attacks were carried out on Iran’s most important oil base ‘Kharg Island’. This attack took place just before the end of the deadline given by US President Donald Trump, in which he had given Iran time till 5:30 am (Indian time) on Wednesday to open the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. After these attacks, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have given an open warning saying that now their ‘patience has reached its limits’.

According to Iran’s news agency ‘Mehr’, the oil export center located on Kharg Island has suffered heavy damage in these attacks. Let us tell you that this island is like a backbone for Iran, because 90 percent of Iran’s crude oil is sent from here to the world. There is a capacity to store about 3 crore barrels of oil here. After this attack, there is now a danger of stopping the supply of crude oil all over the world.

Iran’s counter threat: ‘Will turn everything into ashes’
Shocked by the attack, the Iranian Army (IRGC) has warned America and its allies in plain words. Iran has said that it will now target gas and oil facilities close to America and will cut off fuel supplies to the entire region for years. He clearly said that if Iran’s assets were damaged, the energy bases of other countries in the Middle East would be turned into “heaps of ashes”.

Donald Trump’s tough stance and 48 hours’ time
This tension increased further when President Trump said last week that the US Army could capture the island. In a sharp statement on Sunday, Trump reprimanded Iran and gave a deadline to clear the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. Even before this, America had attacked the military bases and missile bunkers of Kharg Island, but then the oil wells were abandoned.

Iran rejected ceasefire plan
These attacks have taken place at a time when America had proposed a new ceasefire to stop the war that has been going on for the last 6 weeks, which Iran rejected outright. Iran says that it is not going to bow down.

Why is ‘Kharg Island’ special?
Located about 16 miles off the coast of Iran, this island is also called “Forbidden Island” because there is tight security guard here. It is about 300 miles away from the Strait of Hormuz and the entire world’s economy depends on the oil supply from this island. Now after these attacks, there is a fear that the prices of petrol and diesel will go up in the global market.
