‘He gets stunned by just snatching the nectar’, Abhishek Manu Singhvi made a big claim on Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi has made serious allegations on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) about the issues of judiciary. He said that the BJP is adopting a double attitude, which is clearly reflected by recent developments.

Singhvi, while mentioning the recent resignation of Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, said that the way he suddenly left the post, he raises many questions. He said, “Dhankhar saheb was making a vocal statement about the judiciary in Parliament till some time ago. He was saying that if there is a similar proposal in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, then the chairman of both houses can form a joint committee and it can be worked together.”

He further said, “But shortly after, Dhankhar Saheb’s resignation came.” Singhvi said that this silence says a lot in itself. Sanghvi said, “He neither gave any explanation nor cited any political or constitutional reason.”

Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “This is the same party that only wants to be a Narrator. If the nectar is snatched away from them, they get stunned. This party has never been thinking how to take the country along.” Singhvi accused the BJP of making every effort to control Parliament and constitutional institutions. The resignation of Dhankhar is a link to the same pressure and image building.

What happened in Rajya Sabha?

Singhvi alleged that the law minister was questioned on the issues raised by the government in the Rajya Sabha, but he did not give any satisfactory answer. Singhvi alleged, “When asked what is the opinion of the government on what is happening with the autonomy and honor of the judiciary in the Rajya Sabha, then there was a silence or a ballot reply.”

Opposition attack on BJP

The Congress leader said, “The BJP calls the judiciary independent on the one hand, but on the other hand when the judiciary criticizes the policies or decisions of the government, it is called ‘against democracy’. This double attitude is no longer hidden from the public.”
