In the case of death due to fire in Goa restaurant, Luthra Brothers have sought 4 weeks anticipatory bail in Rohini court. Now the court has sought a reply from the Goa Police on the application filed by him. The anticipatory bail plea of Luthra brothers will be heard on December 11 (Thursday).
It was argued on behalf of Luthra Brothers that we just want that we can return to the country and go to the Goa court and pursue our legal proceedings. It is true that people died.
‘We want to get involved in the legal process ourselves’
He said, ‘We want four weeks’ anticipatory bail. We want to come back to India and knock the doors of the court. How can it be that the State Council opposes this, while we ourselves want to come and participate in the legal process.
‘I’m not a bar owner’
He said, ‘I am just a licensee. The owner is someone else. I can’t even do repairs without their permission. The bar is actually the owner’s property, I was only running it on lease.
After registering the FIR against the first accused, a request was made by the Goa Police to issue a lookout circular to the Intelligence Bureau. After this the officials contacted Mumbai Immigration Bureau. It was found that the accused had boarded flight 6E 1073 to Phuket at 5:30 am on December 7, soon after the fire incident.
25 people lost their lives in the accident
25 people were killed in a massive fire late Saturday night in a night club, about 25 kilometers away from Panaji, Goa. The dead included 20 employees of the nightclub and five tourists. Of these, four were from Delhi. The five injured are undergoing treatment at the Government Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
