During the ongoing debate in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the opposition. He questioned the policies of Pandit Nehru to the alleged weak policy of the Congress regarding Pakistan and China. PM Modi appreciated the armed forces and said that the country has shown that India is capable of giving a befitting reply to any terrorist attack.
PM Modi also responded to US President Donald Trump’s statement in which he claimed that he played a role in the ceasefire between Indo-Pak. The PM made it clear that India takes decisions on its own, and no external power can decide our policy. He said that during Operation Sindoor, India got wide support internationally, which made it clear that the world is now standing with India.
This was the main things of the speech given in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
- Prime Minister Modi said, ‘The answer is clear, whenever I (Jawaharlal) discuss Nehru ji, the Congress and its entire’ Ecosystem ‘goes to Bilbila.’ He said that keeping India’s interests ‘mortgaged’ is the old Congress habit and the biggest example of this is the Indus Water Agreement, which Nehru ji did with Pakistan.
- He said, ‘The Indus Water Agreement, India’s identity and self -respect was a great deception. A very large part of the country was pushed into water crisis. Targeting the first Prime Minister of the country, Modi said that due to this agreement the country was very lagging, ‘Our farmers suffered loss of farming. Nehru knew that ‘diplomacy’ in which the farmer had no existence. He claimed that Nehru ji had accepted the condition at the behest of Pakistan that the silt that would be frozen in the dam cannot clean it.
- He said that later also the Congress governments did not even improve this mistake of Nehru ji, but this old mistake was now rectified and concrete decision was taken. The Prime Minister said, ‘Nehru ji’s’ Blunder’ (Indus Water Agreement) has now been suspended in the interest of the country and farmers. India has decided that blood and water cannot flow together. He said that the Congress had neither ‘vision’ of national security before nor today and has ‘always compromised on national security’.
- On the midnight of 6 and 7 May, India took military action as per the plan. Pakistan could not do anything. Our armed forces took revenge on the April 22 incident in 22 minutes.
- Yesterday our armed forces killed the attackers of Pahalgam under Operation Mahadev. But I was surprised when some people laughed here and started asking – ‘Why did it happen yesterday?’ Was ‘Sawan Ka Monday’ fixed for the operation? What the hell is wrong with people? Disappointment to such an extent? Questions were being asked for the past several weeks, ‘What happened to the terrorists of Pahalgam?’, And when action is taken, now he is questioning his timing.
- After 22 April I said that this is our resolve – we will eliminate the terrorists. I publicly said that his conspirators will also be punished … and he would not have imagined such punishment. We are proud that the terrorists have been punished in such a way that even today their helpers have lost sleep.
- Today those who ask why we have not taken Pakistan Occupied Kashmir till now, I ask them- first tell which government had allowed Pakistan to grab PoK? Who did the Indus Water Treaty? Pandit Nehru. He decided to give 80 percent water coming out of India’s rivers to Pakistan and release only 20 percent water for India. Who was behind this treaty? Nehru This treaty was betrayal with the country.
- The world saw the level of our military campaign- from sindoor to Indus. Operation Sindoor established three things – first, if there is a terrorist attack on India, then we will answer on our time, our plan and our terms. Secondly, nuclear weapons threats will no longer run. Third, now terrorists and governments supporting them will not be seen separately.
- No country in the world stopped India from exercising the right to self -defense. Only 3 out of 193 countries supported Pakistan. Whether it is quad, BRICS, France, Germany, Russia – The whole world stood with India. We got international support, but unfortunately, the heroes of my country did not get the support of the Congress party. After the attack, Pakistan contacted … He begged in front of our DGMO – ‘Just do it … we have killed a lot, now we cannot bear any more, please stop the attack.’
- The US Vice President (JD Vance) tried 3-4 times to contact me, but I was busy with the armed forces at that time. When I returned his call, he warned me of a big attack from Pakistan. I replied to them – if Pakistan attacks India, then our answer will be many times bigger than that. ‘We will answer the bullet with the shell.’
- Today, Pakistan knows well that India’s answer is more strict every time before. He knows that if such developments are repeated, India is ready to do anything. And so I want to repeat in the temple of this democracy – Operation vermilion continues. If Pakistan again committed some nefarious act, it will get a befitting reply.
