Flood havoc in Warangal: CM Revanth Reddy conducted aerial survey, assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased


Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday (October 31, 2025) conducted an aerial survey of the areas most affected by floods in East Warangal district and Husnabad assembly constituency. During this, he made a big announcement of relief for the flood victims and said that the government is committed to provide all possible help.

The CM said that an ex-gratia amount of Rs 5 lakh will be given to the families of those who lost their lives in the floods, Rs 15,000 per family if their house drowns and special assistance for the loss of animals and crops. Indiramma houses will also be given to the most affected families.

CM Reddy’s instructions to officials

Addressing the official review meeting in Warangal, the CM directed the officials to immediately prepare a detailed report on the loss of life, property, damage to crops and infrastructure. He asked the Center to receive the relief amount as soon as possible and gave a strong warning not to tolerate any delay in it.

Order to remove encroachment on drains

The Chief Minister gave strict orders to immediately remove the encroachment on the drains in Warangal city and said that it is necessary to take this step in the interest of the majority of the people. In view of the incidents of cloud bursts due to climate change, he stressed on focusing on permanent solutions for flood management and talked about ensuring better coordination between all the departments.

Let us tell you that Telangana has suffered a lot due to the impact of cyclone ‘Montha’. After heavy rains, CM Reddy directed the entire state administration to be on high alert. Reviewing the impact of the cyclone, especially on paddy harvesting, he directed officials to take necessary precautions to minimize losses.
