‘Five less than a century’, BJP leader Amit Malviya taunts Rahul Gandhi after the crushing defeat in Bihar

The BJP on Sunday hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for leading his party to defeat in 95 elections, saying he is “five years short of the century” despite suffering crushing defeats in two decades.

The party took note of the serious differences between Bihar Congress leaders and the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. The differences are over his decision to allege irregularities in the Special Intensive Care Unit (SIR) in the state.

BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya referred to Rahul Gandhi’s statement while citing media reports. Rahul had said that despite the party’s poor performance in the Bihar assembly elections, he is not worried. Malviya raised the question why Rahul is unable to make Congress win the elections.

In a post on social media platform

Pointing to the growing differences in Bihar Congress on the SIR election issue, he said that senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed has completely rejected Rahul Gandhi’s opposition to the Special Intensive Review (SIR). He has rightly raised the question, if names of 65 lakh voters were allegedly struck off, then why did not even 65 people protest?

Malviya said that he further asked why not a single worker from Congress, RJD or Communist parties lodged a single objection. It is now clear that Rahul Gandhi was running a campaign to protect illegal infiltrators, most of whom are Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims.
