Security agencies investigating the Delhi bomb blasts interrogated the arrested accused Muzammil Shakeel, in which he gave shocking statements. Interrogation has revealed that Muzammil was not only involved in the blast conspiracy, but he had also created a digital cover in the name of ‘Sonu Singh’ to hide his identity.
According to the investigating agencies, Muzammil Shakeel was working in a very cunning manner. He had created a fake ID with the name ‘Sonu Singh’ on the Signal app, so that he could escape from the radar of security agencies and carry out his terrorist activities with the help of a Hindu name.
Muzammil Shakeel’s profile is a matter of concern for security agencies. He did MBBS from ‘ACOMS’, Jammu between 2012-18 and later worked at SKIMS Hospital, Srinagar. During medical college, he came in contact with fundamentalist ideology and connected with handlers like ‘Khaksar’ on Telegram and handlers sitting across the border.
Muzammil was working together with terrorist Umar
In the year 2022, he started working as CMO in Al-Falah Hospital, Faridabad, which he made the destination of his conspiracies. The accused has admitted in his statement that he had created a module for preparing explosives in collaboration with terrorist assistant professor Omar Un Nabi at Al-Falah University. Umar used to test chemicals in room number 4 of B-Block of the university. In January 2025, Muzammil had spent about Rs 3 lakh and purchased 70 bags of NPK fertilizer from Sohna and Nuh, which was to be used in making bombs. He had prepared TAPT from acetone and hydrogen peroxide, which was kept hidden in Dhauj village of Faridabad.
Muzammil and his companions wanted to go to Afghanistan
During interrogation it has also come to light that Muzammil and his companions wanted to go to Afghanistan for training. For this, he also went to Istanbul, Turkey in 2022, where he met ‘Dr. Happened to a terrorist handler named ‘Ukasha’. However, due to tight security they could not proceed further and returned to India after 15 days. Muzammil revealed that the main objective of his organization was to take advantage of the prevailing situation in the country and carry out explosive attacks during communal riots.
Different responsibilities were distributed to everyone
Muzammil had divided the responsibilities from making explosives to collecting funds among his different associates. Sources said that Muzammil told the agencies that the job of making explosives was given to Umar. The task of collecting NPK was given to Muzammil. The responsibility of money was given to Mohammad Adil and the work of planning and preparation was entrusted to Irfan.
