Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has once again made serious allegations against the Election Commission regarding Bihar’s voter list verification process i.e. SIR. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Votes are being stolen and this is an open and shut case.’
He claimed that he has strong evidence in this matter. Responding to Rahul’s allegations, the Election Commission said, “It is strange that they are making baseless allegations and now have started threatening the commission and its employees, it is condemnable.”
Rahul Gandhi accused of anti -national
Accusing the Election Commission and his officials of doing anti -national work, Rahul Gandhi said that whatever there is from top to bottom, we will not leave you. You are working against India, this is treason. Retiring or anywhere, we will find you.
Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission of election rigging and ‘vote theft’ in Karnataka. He claimed that he has strong evidence of voter list disturbances in a Lok Sabha constituency.
Election Commission’s response
On Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, the Election Commission replied, saying,
1. The Commission sent a mail to Rahul Gandhi on this matter on 12 June 2025, but he did not attend.
2. On the same day, the Commission also sent a letter to him, which did not get any response.
3. Rahul Gandhi has not sent any letter to the Election Commission on any issue till now.
4. The Commission said- ‘It is strange that they are making baseless allegations and now they have started threatening the Commission and its employees.’
5. The Commission has ignored such irresponsible statements and appealed to all its employees to work in a fair and transparent manner.
6. The Election Commission says that the SIR process in Bihar continues under constitutional provisions and transparent rules.
