Political temperatures are rising in Telangana, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has filed an important complaint against the Congress party. BJP alleges that Congress has violated the election code of conduct by announcing the ministerial post to former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin to get minority votes in the Jubilee Hills by-election.
BJP MP D.K. Aruna accused the Congress of adopting ‘tricks’ to win at any cost out of fear of losing the Jubilee Hills elections. He said that Azharuddin is being made a minister to woo minority votes and BRS is also trying to stop BJP.
D.K. Aruna accused BRS
Aruna said, ‘Congress is afraid of losing the elections, that is why they are doing such things despite the implementation of the election code of conduct in the state.’ He alleged that in the last ten years, BRS has not done anything for Jubilee Hills nor has Congress done any development work here.
He asked, ‘Now with which face will Congress go to seek votes?’ Taking a jibe at Azharuddin, Aruna said, ‘For two years a Muslim did not remember the post of minister, now after knowing he will lose, hence he is pretending to become a minister. Congress is ready to eat any grass for votes.
Aruna’s claim about Congress government
He also said that no development can take place in the state without money from the central government led by Prime Minister Modi. Aruna claimed that the Congress government will last only for three months because its own ministers and MLAs are unhappy with the government. He expressed confidence that BJP will definitely win in Jubilee Hills.
