Ed action in delhi jal board scam: Former Delhi government minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satendra Jain is being questioned in the sewage treatment plant scam of Delhi Jal Board. In this case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also conducted raids in four cities including Delhi on July 3, 2024 last year.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided several locations on 3 July 2024 in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Hyderabad. This action was related to the sewage treatment plant scam of Delhi Jal Board.
1943 crore was scam to upgrade severse plant
In this case, the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) had filed a case against M/S Euroteck Environmental Private Limited and others. It is alleged that there was a scam of about Rs 1,943 crore in the name of upgrading and increasing 10 sewage treatment plants in different areas of Delhi.
Project cost from 1546 crores to 1943 crore rupees
It is being told that a total of four tenders for this scheme were given in October 2022. Only three joint venture companies participated in these tenders and divided the work by setting up. It is alleged in this case that the conditions of the tender were made in such a way that the same selected companies can participate. Earlier the cost of the project was fixed at Rs 1546 crore, but later it was increased to 1943 crore.
ED investigation revealed
Investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has revealed that all companies gave the experience certificate of the same Taiwan project. Which was accepted without investigation. However, later these companies did the entire work Euroteck Environment PVT. Ltd. Gave Hyderabad a sub-contract.
A total of Rs 41 lakh cash, several important documents and digital evidence were recovered during the raid of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). In this case, the ED has called Satendra Jain for questioning for questioning.
