ED raid on IPAC office, Mamata Banerjee reached the raid site, said- ‘On the instructions of the Home Minister…’

On January 8, 2026, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the office of political consultant firm IPAC in Kolkata regarding the coal scam. The house of IPAC chief Prateek Jain has also been raided. This is being done in the case of red coal scam. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also reached the IPAC office.

Mamta said- action is being taken on the instructions of the Home Minister

IPAC works for Mamata’s party Trinamool Congress (TMC). During the ED raid, Mamata Banerjee came out of the IPAC office with the file. He said, ‘Is it the job of the ED and the Home Minister to seize the party’s hard disk and voter list? All this is being done deliberately to us. All this is happening at the behest of the Home Minister.

ED has also raided TMC’s IT cell.

Mamta said, ‘ED is taking away all the documents of my party. What will happen if I raid BJP’s party office? He is removing names of voters through SIR in West Bengal. In the name of elections, he is collecting all the information related to my party.

BJP lashed out at Mamata

BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari’s statement on Mamata Banerjee has come to light. He has accused Mamta of obstructing the work of the central agency. He said, ‘Mamata Banerjee is violating the Constitution. She is interfering in the work of central agencies. If CM Mamta’s house is raided, Rs 100 crore will be received.
