The difficulties of Aam Aadmi Party leaders seem to be increasing. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered cases under money laundering in three different scams during the AAP government. ECIR has been registered in hospital construction, CCTV and Shelter Home scam. Soon summons can be sent to the big leaders of AAP for questioning.
Hospital construction scam (Rs 5,590 crore)
In 2018-19, the Delhi government decided to build 24 hospitals. According to the plan, ICU -equipped hospitals were to be prepared in 6 months, but even after 3 years, the work is incomplete. By now about 800 crore rupees have been spent. The cost of LNJP hospital increased from 488 crores to Rs 1135 crore. In many places, without necessary approval, and the role of contractors is also being questioned. The digital health system scheme named Hims is stuck since 2016, which was deliberately hung.
CCTV scam (Rs 571 crore)
In 2019, a project to install 1.4 lakh CCTV cameras in 70 assembly seats of Delhi was started. The government company BEL got its contract. The work was not completed on time, which was fined Rs 17 crore on BEL, but later the fine was waived without giving any concrete reason. It is alleged that in return, Satyendra Jain was given a bribe of 7 crore through contractors.
Dusib (Shelter Home) Scam (Rs 207 crore)
There have been cases of many disturbances related to the Delhi Urban Shelter Reform Board (Dusib). Rs 207 crore was rigged through fake FDR. In Patel Nagar, fraud was done by showing road repair of Rs 15 lakh. False papers were also made about the work done during the lockdown. In the shelter home scam of Rs 250 crore, salary was shown in the name of fake employees and money was delivered to the leaders as commission.
CBI and ACB are already investigating these cases. Now on the basis of the same fires, the ED has also started investigation of money laundering. According to sources, soon many big leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party can be called for questioning.
