Demand to give Rs 1 crore compensation to the families of martyrs of Telangana, K. Kavita apologized


In an emotional meeting at the Martyrs Memorial in Gun Park, Hyderabad, Kalvakuntla Kavitha turned to the martyrs of the Telangana movement and their families and said, ‘I apologize from my heart to the martyrs of Telangana and their families.’ He said that the ideals and dreams for which these martyrs sacrificed their lives are still unfulfilled.

Kavita said that 1,200 brave people lost their lives for Telangana, but till now only 580 families have got justice. He has demanded from the government that a compensation of Rs 1 crore should be given to the family of each martyr.

Kavita took oath demanding justice

She said, ‘I pledge that I will continue this fight until justice is done, not only to the families of our martyrs, but also to every worker involved in the Telangana movement.’ She said that even though she was not a minister during the ten years of the BRS government, she worked continuously as an MP and MLC. She said, ‘I think I could have fought harder for you.’

Kavita announced ‘Janam Bata’ program under which she will work for the people in 33 districts and 119 constituencies. She said she advocates ‘social Telangana’, where every person gets equal political and economic opportunities.

Targeted at Congress government

Taking aim at the Congress government, he said that they have removed the symbol of Bathukamma from the hands of Telangana Thalli (Mother Goddess of Telangana), which has deeply hurt his heart. He alleged that the government is not giving jobs to the local youth, rather people from outside states are being given jobs.

Kavita said, ‘It is time to declare a fight against the government that has lost the soul of Telangana. I appeal to everyone to join this struggle; Let us all stand together.
