Dangerous explosives found outside school in Kerala, student thrown in sports and big explosion

The explosives found on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) have been confirmed by the dangerous nature of explosives outside a school premises in Palakkad district in Kerala. This information has been given in the FIR. Police said that explosives were found on Wednesday evening when a student threw one of these equipment, causing it to explode. Due to the explosion, the student and an elderly woman nearby suffered minor injuries. It is suspected that this explosive device is used to kill wild pigs.

The FIR states that 10-year-old student Narayanan found these explosives near the gate of Vyas Vidyapitham Pre-Primary School campus in Vadakanthara at around 3.45 pm. After receiving the explosive, he threw one of them on the ground, in which a blast with a loud voice and the student and 84 -year -old Leela standing nearby were injured.

The school administration and local people immediately reached the spot and called the police. When the police searched, four more explosives were found in a bucket. Police sources said that the injured were taken to the hospital and their condition is said to be stable.

The Palakkad North Police has registered a case under Section 3 (A) (explosion that can be threatened by life), Section 4 (A) (to keep explosives with the intention of endangering life and property) and Section 75 (Cruelty to children) of the Juvenile Justice (Children’s Care and Protection) Act.

The FIR states that explosives were of dangerous nature and they were placed at that place to endanger human life. A team led by the officer of the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) is investigating the case.

According to the police, the CCTV cameras of the area have been seized as an investigation and efforts are being made to identify those who have explosives near the school premises. The leaders of the district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have demanded a thorough investigation, accusing them of having a big conspiracy behind the incident.

The leaders of the Marxist Communist Party (CPI -M) alleged that the school management is affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and volunteers are trained in the region. The Congress has also demanded a detailed investigation into the incident.
