The Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police has busted a gang which used to take Indian youth to Myanmar by luring them with good jobs abroad and force them to commit cyber fraud there. Police have arrested two accused Danish Raja and Harsh in this case.
According to Delhi Police, this matter came to light when Myanmar Army raided a big scam center on October 22, 2025 and rescued many Indians. All these youth were kept locked in a building and they were forced to cheat foreign citizens online. The victims were threatened and kept under the surveillance of armed men. The rescued people were kept in a camp in Myanmar and later brought to India with the help of the Indian Embassy on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) this week. On returning to India, the police heard his story and during investigation it came to light that he was taken from Kolkata to Bangkok and then to Myawaddy area of Myanmar.
Delhi Police took important action in the case
After his return, Imtiyaz Babu, a resident of Bawana, complained to the Delhi Police that he was sent to Myanmar on the pretext of a data-entry job. As soon as the case was registered, the IFSO team became active and caught Danish Raja on Thursday (November 20, 2025). During interrogation, it was revealed that despite being deported himself in March 2025, he was engaged in recruiting youth in India. Delhi Police has also recovered the mobile phones of the accused, in which conversations with foreign handlers and many objectionable chats have been found.
Investigation continues in Delhi Police case
At present, digital forensic investigation is going on in this case and IFSO team of Delhi Police and I4C teams are now investigating the financial transactions of this entire network and are busy searching for other associates.
