Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while holding a press conference at the Congress headquarters in Delhi, gave a big statement regarding the Haryana Assembly elections and the alleged vote irregularities there. He first remembered Guru Nanak Dev Ji and said that he is an inspiration for him and millions of people.
Rahul Gandhi said that he had received many complaints regarding Haryana elections and the party thoroughly investigated the matter. He said that he found huge irregularities in the investigation. He especially addressed the youth of the country, Gen Z, saying that this is a question of their future and they should pay attention to this matter.
Rahul Gandhi cited Haryana’s exit poll
Rahul Gandhi also cited the exit polls of Haryana and said that they showed the victory of Congress. He said that the local leaders and the party team had made preparations for the elections with complete arrangements. He also mentioned that Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini had made it clear that we are going to form the government and we have all the arrangements. He said that the exit polls of Haryana had shown a clear majority for Congress and all the polls were indicating the same. But for the first time it happened that there was a big difference between postal votes and actual votes.
Giving an example, Rahul Gandhi said that a Brazilian model voted in Haryana and she voted a total of 22 times at 10 different booths. His name was registered in the voter list under different names. Like Seema, Saraswati, Sweety, Vimala etc. Apart from this, difference was also found in age and other details.
‘There were irregularities in more than 25 lakh votes’ – Rahul Gandhi
Rahul also showed the photograph of a woman in the press conference, who was registered in the voter list under different places and names. According to him, irregularities have been found in a total of more than 25 lakh votes. He counted-
- Duplicate voters: 5,21,619
- Wrong address: 93174
- Bulk Voters: 19,26,351
He said that the Election Commission should explain how the name of only one person is at the same booth 223 times? We have presented solid evidence against the Election Commission. Giving an example, Rahul said that a BJP leader first voted in Uttar Pradesh (Mathura district) and then also voted in Haryana. He called this a serious warning to young voters, especially Gen Z, and said that this is a matter directly related to their future.
Rahul Gandhi made this appeal to GenZ
Rahul Gandhi said, “I want the youth of India, GenZ to understand this clearly because it is about your future. I am questioning the Election Commission, the democratic process in India, so I am doing it with 100% proof. We are absolutely sure that there was a plan to turn Congress’ massive victory into a defeat. Please notice the smile on his (Chief Minister Nayab Saini) face and the system that the Haryana Chief Minister is talking about.”
