CM Revanth Reddy met PM Narendra Modi, invited for Telangana Rising 2047 Summit


Telangana Chief Minister Shri A Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital today. During this, he gave a formal invitation to PM Modi for the prestigious ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit-2047’ to be held at Bharat Future City on 8th and 9th December. In this meeting held in Parliament with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramark Mallu, CM Revanth Reddy also presented the logo of the summit to the Prime Minister.

2047 target shared with PM Modi
This summit will prove to be an important milestone in the development journey of Telangana. The CM told PM Modi that the state government aims to achieve a US $ 3 trillion economy by 2047 under the Centre’s ‘Developed India’ initiative. To realize this vision, ‘Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document’ has been prepared, which has been finalized after brainstorming with NITI Aayog and experts from various fields.

Appeal to PM for approval on many pending projects
The Chief Minister appealed to the Prime Minister to provide all possible support to the state in implementing this vision document. He requested for immediate approval of many pending projects. Among these, the main one is getting approval for the 162.5 km length extension of the second phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail, which costs Rs 43,848 crore, as a Centre-State joint venture.

Regional ring road project also discussed
Also, he requested for approval of the northern part of Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) and financial sanction for the construction of the southern part. Regional Ring Rail project was also discussed. The CM sought the Centre’s assistance in building a greenfield expressway from Hyderabad to Bunder Port and the Hyderabad-Bengaluru high-speed corridor. This meeting is being considered an important step to increase coordination between the Central and State Governments towards the development of Telangana.
