Chaitanya Baghel Liquor Scam: Big reveal in 2500 crore liquor scam, Chaitanya Baghel put crores of rupees in real estate

In the liquor scam case of Chhattisgarh, the ED took major action and arrested Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. After presenting in court, ED got 5 days remand of Chaitanya Baghel. The scam took place between 2019 and 2022.

In this case, ED started an investigation on the basis of FIR registered by ACB/Eow Raipur. Police investigation revealed that the Chhattisgarh government lost a large loss of 2500 crores due to the liquor scam. The ED investigation made it clear that Chaitanya Baghel took a black money of 16.70 crores from this scam and used it in his real estate projects.

This game was created to hide the source of money

With this money, he paid the contractors in cash and entries were entered in banks, so that the source of money could be hidden. He formed a scheme with a person named Trilok Singh Dhillon, under which flats were purchased in the name of employees of Dhillon companies. Through this, there was a transaction of 5 crores, which actually reached Chaitanya.

The investigation has also found a banking trail, which makes it clear that at that time Trilok Singh received money from the liquor syndicate. ED also found in its investigation that Chaitanya Baghel managed black money of more than 1000 crores in total. He used to send this money to the then treasurer of the Congress party through Anwar Dhebar and others.

High-profile people arrested in scam

This money was also given to some special people of Baghel family, so that further investment can be made. Right now the investigation of the final use of this money is going on. Many high-profile people have been arrested earlier in this scam, including Anil Tuteja (former IAS officer), Arvind Singh, Trilok Singh Dhillo, Anwar Dhebar, Arun Pati Tripathi (ITS officer) and Kavasi Lakhma (the then Excise Minister and MLA), according to the ED, the investigation is still on.
