After the announcement of ceasefire between Iran and America, people took to the streets to celebrate in the capital Tehran. A large number of people gathered at Engelaab Square and were seen waving flags. Vehicles were moving on the roads and people were reacting to this decision. However, amid the celebrations, questions and resentment were clearly visible in the minds of many people. A woman sitting in the car said that America has done this many times before. He said that whenever an attempt is made to negotiate, America attacks and then tries to strengthen itself by ceasefire.
The Iranian woman also said that she does not understand why America accepted the ceasefire this time. According to him, this step has probably been taken to give time to Israel. Meanwhile, another woman interrupted and said that they have lost their leader, due to which people are feeling sad. Another woman said that if the new leaders of the country had themselves accepted the ceasefire, people would have also accepted it, but according to her, this decision has been imposed on them, hence people are not completely satisfied.
Confusion and resentment regarding the decision
Some women standing on the streets also raised the question as to what is the need for ceasefire. He said that if there is talk of keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed then why should it be opened again. On one hand, people in Iran are celebrating by coming out on the streets, while on the other hand, many people are expressing confusion and displeasure regarding this decision. This shows that the situation has not only calmed down, but many types of emotions are still running in the minds of people.
