The attack also shows the failure of Pakistani security agencies as Pakistani troops who went out to clear the railway track in the same area were attacked with IEDs in which many soldiers were seriously injured.

5 bogies were overturned after the blast

It can be clearly seen in the video that due to the controlled IED blast, the passengers trapped from the overturned coaches of the Jafar Express train are being taken out. The operation of the train has come to a standstill due to the incident. Baloch rebellious faction Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) spokesperson Dostan Baloch, who took responsibility for the attack, issued a statement saying that this evening, Jaffer Express was targeted with a remote control IED in Dashtung area of ​​Mastung and many Pakistani army personnel were killed and injured in this blast.

BRG claims that 5 bogies of the train overturned after the blast. According to Baloch faction spokesperson Dostan Baloch, the Pakistani army misuses trains, in such a situation, BRG appeals to the public to keep distance from the army personnel. Also, such action will continue till the independence of Balochistan.

The Balochistan Liberation Army fighters had hijacked the Jafar Express on March 11 this year to go from Quetta to Peshawar. At around one o’clock in the afternoon, BLA fighters targeted the train and fired rocket launcher towards the engine. The BLA claimed that more than 400 people sitting in the train have been taken hostage, of which 200 were Pakistani army soldiers. However, the Pakistani Army later conducted a rescue operation and claimed to kill all 33 fighters. According to the Pak Army, 23 soldiers of the Pak Army, 3 railway employees and 5 passengers lost their lives in this operation.
