There has been a big bang near the headquarters of Pakistani Paramailitary Force Frontier Coppers in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province of Pakistan. This blast took place at 12.3 pm Indian time. In the blast, 10, including 3 soldiers of paramilitary, have died, while 33 people have been injured. However, so far the Pakistani Army or the Balochistan government have not issued any statement. Apart from this, no Baloch rebel group has taken responsibility for the attack. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
According to the police, the explosion near Jarghun Road was so powerful that the windows and doors of nearby buildings were broken. Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot. The security forces have laid siege to the area. Frontier Corps (FC) personnel are also present at the scene.
Balochistan Health Minister’s order
Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar has declared an emergency in all hospitals across the city. Experts, doctors, pharmacists, nurses and paramedical employees have been instructed to come on duty immediately. The administration has started an investigation to find out the cause of the explosion. In the footage obtained from the scene, a huge smoke is seen rising from far away.
