Tamil Nadu News: It has been revealed that women of Tamil Nadu are also showing interest in starting self-employment like men. Tamil Nadu government has launched a scheme to make one lakh women entrepreneurs in the next five years with the aim of further increasing the role of women in the economic growth of Tamil Nadu.
Subsidy of Rs 2 lakh will be given
This scheme is being implemented by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce working under the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of Tamil Nadu. According to this, every year 20,000 people will be provided loan assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh from banks.
For this, maximum subsidy of 25 percent and maximum Rs 2 lakh will be given. The beneficiary will be provided skill training through Entrepreneurship Development Institute, as well as industry registration, marketing assistance, Fame T.N. Company will be done.

The name of the person applying for this scheme should be in the ration card and the age should be between 18 to 55 years. No educational qualification. Businesses can be started in categories like manufacturing, service, commerce etc. The business plans and documents of the applicants will be examined, beneficiaries will be selected and recommendations will be made to the banks for granting loans.
So many people applied in 10 days
The work of receiving applications for giving loans started in the last 10 days. Women are showing interest in starting business by taking loan under this scheme. Due to this recommendation, 5,631 people have applied in the last 10 days. After considering them, 1,891 applications have been approved. Of them, banks have been recommended for giving loans to 65 people. To get loan under this scheme, application can be made on www.msmeonline.tn.gov.in website.
