Big action in Goa cylinder blast case, club owner arrested, 25 dead so far


So far 25 people have died in the tragic incident of fire in a nightclub located in Arpora, Goa, while 6 people are injured. The injured are undergoing treatment and their condition is currently said to be stable. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the entire area.

CM Pramod Sawant’s statement – Magistrate orders inquiry
After the incident, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant gave his reaction on social media platform X. He wrote, ‘I am closely taking stock of the situation of the fire incident in Arpora, in which 25 people lost their lives and 6 people were injured. The condition of all the injured is stable and they are being provided the best treatment. Orders for a magisterial inquiry into this entire incident have been issued so that the reasons and those responsible can be identified. The CM said that the state government is with the victims’ families and strict legal action will be taken against the culprits.

Congress expressed grief, said – heart-wrenching incident
Goa Congress in-charge Manikrao Thackeray described this accident as extremely tragic. He wrote on Twitter, ‘We are deeply saddened by the fire at Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora. Many innocent people lost their lives in this incident. Deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. He said that Congress stands with all the people affected by this tragedy.

25 people died in the fire
According to Goa Police, the dead include 4 tourists and 14 club employees. 7 other people are yet to be identified. The reason for the incident is not clear yet. Police and fire department are investigating the matter and a preliminary report is being prepared.

Prime Minister Modi took information, announced compensation
On this accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called CM Pramod Sawant to get complete information and inquired about the condition of the injured. After this, compensation has been announced from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). According to the PMO, an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. After the incident, big questions have been raised on the security arrangements and fire systems of nightlife and tourist places. The club has been sealed until the investigation report comes.
