The Karnataka government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has taken major action against four government teachers who participated in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) program in the state. The Karnataka government has issued a notice against the four teachers. Actually, a path movement program was organized by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on October 7 and 13, 2025 in Bidar district of Karnataka. In which four government teachers from Aurad taluk of the district participated. After which the Karnataka government has taken major action against the four government teachers on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).
The Karnataka government has taken this action on Monday (October 27, 2025) after a complaint made by a leader of Dalit Sena. The names of the four government teachers to whom the state government has sent notices are Mahadev Chitgire, Shalivan, Prakash Bardapure and Satish.
What did the education department say to the teachers in the notice?,
After sending a notice to the teachers, the Education Department of the Karnataka Government said that the government employees cannot participate in any political or religious program. After finding evidence in the viral video of the four government teachers participating in the Path Sanchalan program of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Education Department has asked them to appear in person and give their clarification on the matter, otherwise further action will be taken against them.

It is noteworthy that there has been an uproar in the state regarding Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Karnataka for the last several days. The Karnataka government had recently announced a ban on RSS programs in the state. At the same time, the government had issued an order to take permission from the state government before organizing any gathering of more than 10 people at government and social places like government schools, college grounds and parks as well as private places across the state. However, the Karnataka High Court has put an interim stay on this decision of the state government.
