According to the information, the woman Mahmuda Begum, resident of Mujibul, Narayanganj, Bangladesh, reached India in 2021 and took shelter in village Dautai located in Garhmukteshwar, Hapur.
It is being told that during this time, Bangladeshi woman Mahmuda Begum changed her identity to Rani and married Mohammad Masroof, son of Inshallah, resident of Mohalla Qureshi Wala of Hapur in New Delhi in 2021. After this the woman started living here completely.
Central agencies got information about Bangladeshi woman
According to the information, when the central agencies came to know about this on 23 February 2026, the central agencies started investigating. Investigation revealed that the village head of Dautai, Rashid Ali, helped Mahmuda Begum in making fake documents. At present, after this matter came to light, both Mohammad Masroof and Mahmooda Begum alias Rani are said to be out of the village. At the local level, police and administrative officials are busy searching for Bangladeshi woman Mahmuda Begum alias Rani and her husband Mohammad Masroof.
Under which section action can be taken
If the investigation proves allegations of illegal entry, fake documents and concealment of identity, then action can be taken under various sections of the Foreigners Act, Passport Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC).
