Ayodhya decorated for Ram temple flag hoisting, PM Modi will hoist 22 feet long-11 feet wide flag, said – I will witness the historic moment


PM Narendra Modi will hoist the flag on the peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya on 25 November. Special preparations for this program have been completed. The message of completion of the construction work of the temple will be given through a 22 feet long-11 feet wide flag specially prepared for the temple.

Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a message on X regarding this program. PM Modi wrote, “Lord Shri Ram is the soul of India, its consciousness and the basis of its pride.” It is a matter of great good fortune for me that tomorrow on 25th November at 10 am, I will get the opportunity to worship in the divine grand Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex of Ayodhya. After this, at around 12 noon, I will witness the historic moment of the formal hoisting of the saffron flag on the peak of the holy temple of Shri Ram Lala. This flag is a symbol of the glory, bravery and ideals of Lord Shri Ram as well as our faith, spirituality and cultural heritage.

Defense Ministry issued guidelines
The Defense Ministry has issued guidelines regarding the program. It was made by a parachute specialist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The weight of this flag is between two to three kilos. This flag has been designed according to the 161 high temple spire and 42 feet high flag pole. PM Modi will hoist the flag at the auspicious time between 11.52 am to 12.35 pm.

The General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has informed that strict security arrangements have been made in the Ram Temple flag hoisting program. The arrangements are being monitored. More than 10 thousand police and paramilitary forces have been deployed for security. Apart from this, surveillance is also being done through anti-drone and CCTV.

When was the temple ready?
In the year 2019, after the order of the Supreme Court, the construction work of Ram temple started. Its foundation stone was laid by PM Narendra Modi on 5 August 2020. The construction work of the first phase of Ram temple was completed in December 2023. PM Modi inaugurated the temple on 22 January 2024. The temple has been constructed on approximately 2.27 acres.
