Asaduddin Owaisi and Tejashwi Yadav Statement Regarding Bihar Voter List Revision Election Commission REPLY Ann

Bihar Election 2025: In Bihar, the politics that is going on for the voter list revision is coming out every day. In this series, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also met the Election Commission on Monday and demanded the postponement of this process. At the same time, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav raised serious questions on this whole process and said that the Election Commission itself is confused and due to this, its orders are constantly changing.

On these allegations made by the opposition leaders, the side of the Election Commission also came to light. Sources in the Election Commission came to know that the opposition leaders who are making unrestrained allegations of this manner do not know about this whole process and perhaps they are confused by themselves.

What did Owaisi say about the document

Asaduddin Owaisi met the Election Commission and what kind of problems are facing the voters of Bihar and why the entire process should be deferred at the moment, he put his words about this problem in front of the Chief Electoral Officer.

Owaisi also raised the question that when the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have been held with these voters, then why are the documents being sought from them now. Owaisi also asked the question that now people whose names are cut during this process, do not have the ability to be voters. How did he vote during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections?

People of Bihar in confusion

Along with Owaisi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also raised many questions on this process being done by the Election Commission. Tejashwi Yadav said that the Election Commission and its officials themselves are confused. For this reason, the public is confused and people are afraid that there is no conspiracy to cut their votes. Tejashwi Yadav said that people want to know what the documents really need and what not want.

Tejashwi also asked the question that why MNREGA card, Aadhaar card were not included in the documents given to the voters. On this basis, Tejashwi Yadav has demanded that the voter list revision campaign should be stopped and this work should be done after the election.

Election Commission answers questions

When the opposition leaders raised questions, clarification on behalf of the Election Commission also came to light. Why Aadhaar is not being used, the Election Commission once again said clearly, ‘Aadhaar is a proof of identity, not citizenship or date of birth.’ At the same time, on behalf of the Election Commission, it was once again stressed that no change has been made in the orders of SIR on June 24 by the Election Commission.

Meanwhile, sources associated with the Election Commission responded to the attacks being carried out by the opposition and said that those who are making allegations are confused themselves, because they have not read the order of 24 Jun 2025 of SIR. In the Enumeration Form given in the order of June 24, you can give an Aadhaar card alternately, but it does not prove your eligibility.

So many days left for the last date to fill the form

Along with this, according to the official information revealed by the Election Commission, till 6 pm on Monday evening, 36.47 percent forms have been received out of the total 7,89,69,844 (about 7.90 crore) voters enrolled in Bihar till 24 June 2025. In the last 24 hours, 1,18,49,252 calculations have been submitted from 6 pm tomorrow. The last date for submission of form is still 18 days left.

According to the official information, the work of uploading the form is also going on simultaneously and out of 7.90 crore voters by Monday (July 07, 2025), 11.26 percent forms have been uploaded. 77,895 BLOs are going door-to-door helping voters to fill their calculation forms and collect them.

Demand for cancellation of process from Supreme Court

At present, the matter has reached the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court is demanding that the entire process be postponed or canceled by different political parties, on which the Election Commission will now have to reply by July 10, when the next hearing on the matter. In such a situation, the opposition is expecting that they get relief from the Supreme Court.

At the same time, the Election Commission is clearly repeating that the process being done by the Election Commissioner is being done completely keeping in mind the constitutional and legal aspect and people are trying to mislead voters by creating controversy over it.
