Army Training Command’s Investigation Ceremony in Shimla: The decoration ceremony of Indian Army Training Command (ArtRac) was organized in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla 2025. Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM presided over the decoration ceremony. During this grand ceremony, establishments and individuals were honored for their outstanding performance for training year 2023-24.

During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma said, “In the new era, the methods of war have completely changed. Now modern techniques like drone are being used in war. By 2027, 33 new and modern techniques including Artrac drone are being tested for their soldiers. For which 15 major training institutes are being developed as the center of expertise. Huh will cost an amount of Rs 390 crore in the development and training of this infrastructure.

He said that to connect with modern technology, Artrack has trained 18,000 personnel in the year 2024-25, while in the year 2025-26 there are plans to train 12,000 personnel. All these initiatives will play an important role in converting the Indian Army into a ‘ready -made army’.
Lieutenant General spoke on the role of women in Indian armed forces
During this time, Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma also made special mention of the role of women in the armed forces of the country. He said that more than 1800 women are serving various ranks in the Indian Army and proudly in the region.
Two units affiliated to establishment for outstanding performance
Two units affiliated to three category ‘A’ establishments and category ‘A’ establishments were awarded the ‘GOC-in-C Army Training Command Unit Citation’ for their outstanding performance.
