A couple who had a love marriage in Ramanakkapeta village of Musunuru mandal had to face violence when the girl’s family openly took the law into their hands. The boy was attacked on the road in broad daylight, he was tied to a pillar and the girl was forcibly taken away.
This sensational incident spread panic in the entire area. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Superintendent of Police of Eluru immediately took cognizance and ordered the arrest of the culprits, after which the police swung into action and action was initiated.
Girl saved within 18 hours
Following the order of Eluru district SP, Musunuru police took this matter as a challenge. Intensifying the search operation, they safely rescued the kidnapped girl in just 18 hours. The police identified the accused who attacked the boy and kidnapped the girl, arrested them and sent them on remand.

The attack on a love married couple and kidnapping of a girl in Ramanakkapeta of Musunuru mandal in Eluru district created a stir in the district. Sai Chand and Durga, who were in love with each other for eight years and are residents of Mandavalli mandal, got married in a temple after their families did not accept their love. Durga works in Musunuru Postal Department. This loving couple, who left home on December 23, got married last week. They went to the police station and lodged a complaint that there was a threat to their lives from their families. The loving couple settled in Ramanakkapeta, where Durga works. In this connection, the boy shared his wedding photos on social media.
The accused were traced and arrested
However, after learning about their marriage, the girl’s family reached Ramanakkapeta on Thursday, January 1 and attacked the newly married couple. They attacked the boy with sticks and stones. Not stopping here, he tied Sai Chand to a pillar and tortured him. After this, they forcefully took the girl and kidnapped her.
With the help of local people, Sai Chand went to the police station and lodged a complaint. He complained that his wife had been kidnapped by her family members and a case was registered under sections of assault and kidnapping. Within about 18 hours, they traced the accused and arrested them. The kidnapped girl was rescued.
