The government is fully alert about the ongoing crisis and war situation in West Asia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave information about the situation and the efforts being made by the government, first in the Lok Sabha yesterday on Monday (March 23, 2026) and in the Rajya Sabha today on Tuesday (March 24, 2026). Now the government has decided to call an all-party meeting regarding this. The government has called an all-party meeting at Parliament House on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) at 5 pm, in which all parties will be informed on the entire matter.
What is the government’s objective regarding the all-party meeting?
The objective of this meeting is clear to show political unity within the country and to send a message to the world that India is united on such a serious international crisis. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Foreign Minister S. were present in the meeting. Many senior ministers and leaders including Jaishankar will participate. All the floor leaders and some other leaders of the opposition will also attend the meeting. Through the meeting, the government wants to take the opposition into confidence and make a common strategy regarding the crisis.
What did the Prime Minister say in the House regarding Iran war?
While speaking in the House, the Prime Minister had said that the situation is worrying and there seems to be little possibility of improvement. He said that a large part of India’s energy needs come from this region, so there is a danger of the supply of crude oil and gas being affected. Besides, increasing tension in the Strait of Hormuz can also become a challenge for international trade. Information will be given in the meeting about what efforts are being made by the government to deal with this situation.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister also informed the House that the government has also formed 7 different empowered groups to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods like LPG, Crude Oil, Fertilizers. Along with this, the arrangements for the evacuation and safety of our citizens stranded in the Gulf area are also being continuously monitored. Information regarding all these subjects will be given to all the parties by the government in the all-party meeting.
