AIUDF leader Rafiqul Islam targeted EC, said- complaints of vote theft are revealed, Election Commission should reply

Assam’s AIUDF leader Rafiqul Islam has raised serious questions about SIR. He said that there is a lack of transparency in this whole process and the Election Commission seems to be retreating from its responsibility. Rafiqul alleged that despite serious allegations against the Election Commissioner, he did not give any clarification, while it is his constitutional responsibility to protect the rights of voters.

Election Commission should answer- Rafiqul
Rafiqul Islam said that the Election Commission is an independent institution and it is its responsibility to get every citizen to vote. He said- ‘SIR is going on in Bihar, in which there are allegations of many irregularities. It is the responsibility of the Chief Election Commissioner to clarify everything… Everyone should get the right to vote. If someone has rigged someone, then the allegations of protecting by Rahul Gandhi are true … They should come forward and answer every charge.

Rafiqul’s charge- Chief Minister is hiding information
The AIUDF leader also targeted the Chief Minister of Assam. He said that on the one hand work has started at the District Election Officer and BLO level, on the other hand the Chief Minister is saying that he does not know anything. Islam raised the question that if the SIR process has started in the state, then why is the Chief Minister not aware of it, and if there is information then why is it being hidden from the public.

People should be given complete information- Rafiqul
Rafiqul Islam said that no official notification of SIR has been revealed so far. He demanded that the government and the Election Commission should clarify how this process will go, what will be the conditions and what people will have to do. He said that instead of hiding this work, people should be aware and with their help.
