Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh while addressing an event on Wednesday (October 01, 2025) said that the Air Force does not run only with pilots or Garuda commandos, but there are thousands of people working in many branches and services behind it, who are making superior contribution at their own level.
He said that if the role of these people is ignored, then it will be a big mistake. Air Chief Marshal said, ‘If our air-day is able to fight bravery, is able to take risks, then it is believed that every responsibility behind them is being fulfilled properly, whether the aircraft is maintained, whether those who take care of our family, salary or logistics, they are confident. With this confidence we fly.
Inauguration of the book ‘Wings of Weller’
Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh on Wednesday inaugurated a book called ‘Wings of Weller’. The event was held at the Air Force Auditorium at Subroto Park, New Delhi. Sarita Singh, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association, was also present on the occasion. On this occasion, Air Chief Marshal said that the Indian Air Force does not run only with the efforts of pilots or Garuda commandos, but thousands of personnel working in many branches have a role behind it.
He said that if we do not accept the contribution of these ‘anonymous heroes’, then it would be unfair. On this occasion, he appealed for loud applause for these ‘anonymous heroes’ of the Indian Air Force. Air Chief Marshal Singh said that the highest sacrifice is undoubtedly the biggest contribution, but there are many people who faced a direct threat and risk all the time.

Indian Air Force Chief spoke about aircraft accident
She specifically referred to humanitarian aid and disaster relief teams, which serve with full commitment even in uncertain conditions and dangerous circumstances. AP Singh said, “Whoever is martyred during the operation or in a plane crash, we also have a part of us, because whatever decisions he took was based on the same knowledge and experience which was available to him at that time.”
He said, ‘It is not always easy to assess the right and wrong under circumstances.’ The Air Force chief was emotional and said that whenever we lose one of our partners, not only lose them, but also the moments and experiences spent with them, but these incidents also resolve us to be more ready and fulfill our responsibility.

At the end of his address, he said in a light manner that the book which he was present in the release program is not only of the writer, but of all those who have contributed to it. The program was concluded by Air Chief Marshal, wishing the writer and his family. He said that the Indian Air Force remains a strong and indomitable power due to the hard work and dedication of every member of its members, whether on the front front or in the background.
