A former employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) told NDTV that team leaders in the company’s Nashik office used their desks not for work but for exploiting female colleagues. The employee told that abusive language was used while calling women at the desk. The way of talking of all the accused was very rude.
The former employee said, “The girls were called to the team leader’s desk and such obscene language was used with them, which cannot be imagined in any professional office.”
‘Tausif Attar used to make fun of wearing saree and bindi’
The main accused Tausif Attar is accused of targeting Hindu customs. The witness said that he used to make fun of female employees during festivals when they wore sarees or bindis. The employee said, “When we wore sarees during festivals, he used to question our dress and religion. When we started leaving, he used to make disgusting comments.”
A Hindu employee converted to Islam – former employee
The former employee claimed that a colleague named Krishna used to wear Rudraksha beads in the office and later converted to Islam. Another revelation is related to Nida Khan, whose investigation is going on. The former employee told that Nida Khan was not an HR but a process associate, who mysteriously worked for the transfers of employees. The employee claimed that in the name of security, employees were asked to leave their phones, bags and even lunch boxes outside the office premises so that their activities were not recorded.
‘They used to put pressure on girls to go to hotels’
The former employee named two other employees, Danish and Raza, who were accused of booking hotels and resorts from the office and pressurizing young female employees to join them. The witness said that after leaving the company she now feels safe. He raised the question that despite being such a big corporate organization, why the senior management was not aware of it.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday, demanding instructions to the Central and State Governments to stop fraudulent conversions. It has been said in the petition that the organized conversion in Nashik has shaken the conscience of the citizens of the entire country. It has been argued that fraudulent conversion is a threat to sovereignty, secularism, democracy, liberty, fraternity, dignity, unity and national integration.
7 arrested including Nida Khan, 1 woman still absconding
Nashik Police is investigating 9 complaints of mental and sexual harassment related to TCS. These complaints have been filed by 8 women employees and relate to the period from February 2022 to March 2026. In this case, 7 employees Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansari and Nida Khan have been arrested. Another female employee is currently missing.
