Big relief for India amid the uproar over Hormuz, Iran will not collect toll from Indian ships

Amidst the ongoing conflict over the Strait of Hormuz, good news has come for India. Tehran has made it clear that no toll is being collected from Indian ships passing through Hormuz. Not only this, it has also been said that Indian ships will be given safe passage in future also.

This statement from Iran has come at a time when America has announced a complete blockade on Iranian ports and the Hormuz waterway. Even after the ceasefire it was being said that Iran and Oman could collect toll tax.

What did the Iranian ambassador say?
Iran’s Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fatali, while talking to journalists at the embassy, ​​said, ‘You can ask the Indian government whether we have recovered any amount till now or not.’ He further said that even in this difficult time our relations are good. We believe that India and Iran can share interests. Fatali said that Indian ships will be allowed to pass safely from Hormuz.

Told India as a reliable partner
He said that Iran’s relations with the Indian government are very strong and trustworthy. India has proven itself to be an understanding and reliable partner in difficult times and the cultural ties between the two countries are still very deep. He said, ‘In future also, Indian ships will be allowed to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz. He informed that soon Iran will announce a system, in which the process of exit of ships will be explained.

The Waterways Ministry said on Monday that efforts are underway to bring back 15 Indian flag ships stranded in Hormuz. Additional Secretary Mukesh Mangal said that we are making every possible effort in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs to bring back our grandchildren. At present, a total of 15 Indian flagged and Indian owned ships are present there.

Countries’ stance on American blockade
Many countries have not supported the American blockade on Iranian ports. Britain has openly said that it will not support it. Australia said that they have not been given any message regarding this from America.
